Deerton is an excellent choice and an ideal site for a natural burial ground. It is quiet, peaceful and low key, as I believe a burial ground and the funeral itself needs to be. Sian was knowledgeable, well organised and helpful before the funeral, on the day and since. Deerton has a timeless character which helps to add to its appeal as a burial ground. It is well managed and maintained.

When he read about ‘Natural Burials’ he decided that was what he wanted: ‘under a tree, in a wicker coffin, in the Kent countryside with a space for myself at his side’.
Thank you for setting up Deerton Natural Burial Ground where my husband is buried. It is a wonderful, picturesque, respectful place. I feel at peace knowing that it is my husband’s new home – and my home in the future. It is exactly what Graeme would have wanted.
I found Deerton by chance and when I went there I immediately knew it was the place. Someone said to me, ‘you will know when you find the right place.’ It felt so right when I was there and it ticked all the boxes that Graeme wanted.
I found Deerton on the internet and telephoned them. They were kindness itself: nothing was too much trouble.

Being part of so many families planting their trees and remembering loved ones was very humbling and comforting. I think in time I will come to look back on Tree Planting Day as a very significant and important moment in the long healing process.

We held the funeral and celebration of life for our friend at Riverview. Sian was so helpful as were all the other team members. Nothing was too much trouble. This made a difficult time so much the better.
